This selfie defines a number of aspects of my life (perhaps a bit more than you should know :p).
First of all the main focus of my selfie is the photo album in the background, its a photo of me, my brother, my nephew and my lovely mother. This is one of my most treasured photos as it is one of the last pieces of evidence of our little happy family. Unfortunately soon after this photo was taken, my mum passed away from bowel cancer. It was an overwhelming loss for me as, just like in my selfie, my mum was the centre of my universe. I now strive to achieve the best I possibly can in order to know I can look back and say she would have been extremely proud of her little girl :)
Also in my selfie is a small photograph of my boyfriend and I, he is a big part of my life and has been there for me through a lot of ups and downs.
The make-up bags and mirror on my desk are reference to my interest and ambitions in the make-up industry. I hope one day to be a successful free-lance make up artist, travelling around the world working on films and television sets (and earning lots of money would be nice).
Finally the last symbol in my selfie (and probably the least obvious) is my pout, I live in a town where pouting, fake tan and high heels are a big part of the culture .. ESSEX. Although I, myself don't tend to get too involved in the fake tanning and staggering around in heels, I do love a good pout in a selfie and this one was no different.
So there you have it, a small snippet into my life and whats contributed into making me the young woman I am today :)
